Entry Requirements For Registered General Nursing (RGN)

WASSCE SSCE
Age 18 – 35 Years 18 – 35 Years
Overall Aggregate A CUT-OFF AGGREGATE SCORE OF THIRTY SIX (36) OR BETTER IN SIX SUBJECTS, COMPRISING 3 CORE AND 3 ELECTIVE A CUT-OFF AGGREGATE SCORE OF TWENTY FOUR (24) OR BETTER IN SIX SUBJECTS, COMPRISING 3 CORE AND 3 ELECTIVE
Core Subjects
and Minimum Grades		 AT LEAST credits (A1 – C6) in three core subjects i.e English, Mathematics and Integrated Science AT LEAST credits (A – D) in three subjects i.e. English, Mathematics Integrate Science
Elective Subjects
and Minimum Grades		 AT LEAST PASSES (A1 – C6) IN THREE ELECTIVE SUBJECTS AT LEAST PASSES (A – D) IN THREE ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

Requirement Notice

NOTE: A combination of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) and West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSEC) is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Mode of Application - GUIDE FOR APPLYING

Candidates can apply to Health Training Institution by purchasing scratch cards and filling the forms online via https://healthtraining.gov.gh

1. Scratch cards can be obtained at all Health Training Institutions or designated banks or via mobile Money

Application Fees
Scratch cards are purchased at a prescribed fee as decided by Ministry of Health. Check the current application details before purchase.

Final Interviews
Online Submission will enable a short listing exercise out of which a selection interview is carried out at the institutional level. Our applicants undergo oral and written (short-essay and multiple choice questions in Science and English) interview.
